A lot has been going on with the promotion of the new album, so we have tons of great updates for you.

First up, we are happy to announce the launch of the brand new official site at TheStrokes.com. Check it out and let us know what you think. Message Board users – You’ll need to request a new password. Once you login with your new password all your information will be saved into the system. Enjoy!

Get ready to start hearing “Taken For A Fool” from the new album, Angles. Check out the single cover artwork to the right, and be sure to request it from your local radio stations. A 7″ vinyl single is coming shortly, details on the b-side and release date are still being finalized but we’ll be sure to keep you guys posted.

Keep an eye out for the official video too…shooting a clip for “Taken For a Fool” with director Laurent Briet that should be done before the end of the month and we’ll get it out to you guys as soon as it’s ready.

A lot of tv performances to catch up on. The band performed “Games” on Conan in late April and brought “Under Cover Of Darkness” as well as their new single “Taken For A Fool” to UK’s hit late night show, Later with Jools Holland. The guys also made a stop on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to perform “Gratisfaction.”

We are happy to announce that the guys are set to perform in Mexico this coming October! They will be making stops in both Mexico City and Monterrey.

OCT 14 – Monterrey, MX – Banamex Theatre
OCT 15 – Mexico City, MX – Corona Capital Festival
